Robert Pahlavan has had a long career as both an operator and investor in services and technology businesses across the wellness and healthcare spectrum. He is passionate about the power of technology to help meet the needs of agencies today while also providing a vision for tomorrow. Most recently, Rob was a Managing Director with Family Equity Partners, where he focused on buying and operating both Healthcare Services and Technology companies. He holds a MBA from Stanford University. Pahlavan was also named to the 2013 Advisory Board of the Home Care & Hospice LINK Conference.
Dr. Kramer, co-founder of HealthWyse, has over 20 years experience in the medical products industry. Prior to founding HealthWyse, Dr. Kramer was President of Teledyne-NIM, a medical products company. He spent 19 years with Hewlett-Packard’s Medical Products Group in a number of senior management positions. Dr. Kramer, as General Manager, was responsible for starting the Clinical Information Systems business unit within Hewlett-Packard and for a number of years was responsible for research and development operations for Hewlett-Packard’s patient monitoring business unit. Dr. Kramer holds a BSEE from the University of Dayton and an MS and a Ph.D. from Ohio State in Electrical Engineering with a major in Biomedical Engineering.
Mr. Braunstein, co-founder of HealthWyse, has been a professional in the software industry since 1985, and has focused on the field of clinical information systems. Prior to undertaking the challenges at HealthWyse, Mr. Braunstein was Director of Applications Development at Vectis Corporation, a developer of wireless clinical systems for the physician outpatient market. In his nine years with Hewlett-Packard's Medical Products Group, he was an architect for Hewlett-Packard's Clinical Information Systems product line. He also did pioneering work in developing HP's 100LX handheld for clinical applications. While at HP, he was awarded two patents in managing medical information. At HealthWyse, he has received one patent with two more pending. Mr. Braunstein has been an invited Speaker at multiple Forbes CIO conferences, the TEPR conference, and the Symposium on Operating Systems Principles. He is a member of the Sybase iAnywhere Customer Advisory Board and was selected by Sybase to present to financial Analysts. Mr. Braunstein is a graduate of MIT, where he received three degrees. He has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from MIT's Computer Science Department and a degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management with a specialty in Management Information Systems.
Mr. Bertrand has over 25 years of experience in the Healthcare software development field. Prior to joining HealthWyse Mr. Bertrand was VP of Software Development at PatientKeeper, where he managed a team of 70+ engineers. During his 8+ years at PatientKeeper Mr. Bertrand led the development of many of the company’s products, including: NoteWriter (physician documentation) and CPOE. PatientKeeper’s products are known for being the most user-friendly in the industry and widely adopted by physicians. Prior to PatientKeeper Mr. Bertrand also held leadership roles in software development at McKesson, PHT Clinical Networks, Clinical Data Solutions and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Westfield State College.
A 25 year healthcare industry veteran, Mr. Dwyer brings his expertise leading growth strategy, and developing superior sales teams for a variety of technology companies. He has a demonstrated track record of helping healthcare organizations address critical cost containment and quality of care issues. Prior to joining Healthwyse, Brian was Senior Vice President of Managed Care at Sanare, a company focused on helping diabetic patients improve self-management skills. Before Sanare, Brian was Executive Vice President for Managed Care at Access MediQuip, where he was responsible for managing growth and operations for the company's largest line of business. Prior to Access MediQuip Brian spent 11 years as Senior Vice President, Sales, and a founding member of the management team, at NaviNet, Inc., the leading multi-payer provider portal company in the nation with over 900,000 connected physicians.
Margaret is a successful healthcare executive with over 20 years of broad-based experience in diverse business and technical environments. She has a proven track record of setting business strategies and assembling, integrating and leading high performance teams. Prior to joining HealthWyse, Ms. Thomas was the Vice President of Services with Caradigm, a company focused on Accountable Care Organizations, responsible for managing implementations and customer relationships for Identity and Access Management solutions. Prior to Caradigm, Ms. Thomas held leadership roles in services at Microsoft’s Health Solutions Group and Sentillion Inc. and was the CIO at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Northeastern University and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University.
Ms. O'Brien has spent more than fifteen years driving integrated marketing programs for B2B technology and healthcare companies. Experienced in building effective lead generation programs, she has helped to build sales pipelines working with inside and outside sales teams to meet aggressive growth targets. Her background includes clinical management experience and she holds a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University.
